“One of the defining and most critically acclaimed albums of the '90s, Supernatural was the record which brought Santana to the spotlight of a new generation of fans. Joined by Rob Thomas, Dave Matthews, Everlast, Lauryn Hill, Eric Clapton, Wyclef Jean and others, Supernatural set the standard for contemporary pop and rock records moving into the new millennium. Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the multi-platinum album, the Legacy Edition includes the phenomenally successful original album completely re-mastered under Carlos Santana's supervision, a bonus disc jam packed with almost 70 minutes of rare and unreleased material, and a full color book with new liner notes, rare photos, memorabilia and more! The album, conceived by Clive Davis and A&R'd by Pete Ganbarg, was phenomenally successful, eventually selling over 25 million copies worldwide; it is generally seen to have revived Santana's dormant career”

Supernatural is not a Santana album. but a Carlos Santana and Arista Records’ friends collaboration-project. Unfortunately, with the exception of “Primavera”, “Da le Yaleo” and  “The calling”, an axe collaboration with Eric Clapton, there's nothing on Supernatural that really stands out from the rest of the crowd. You would be shocked by how commercial a lot of these songs really sound.Though the guitar playing is electrifying most of the tracks are nothing but filler, as easily forgettable as elevator music. I am a huge Sanana fan, Lock me up with the first three Santana-albums (I, Abraxas and III) anytime! I love Santana, but when all is said and done and rock and roll history is written, Supernatural will not be remembered as one of his best, but one of his most lucrative and most slick.
