Release Date : 2009

If you enjoy in-your-face music with an exhilarating rock'n'roll aura, Superchief is a nice choice for a helluva good time.

Bridging the gap between the heavier side of grunge and the groovier side of stoner, tracks like “Sweat” and “Bus ride messiah” summon a '90s rock vibe kind of like Melvins meeting up with Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger. Similarly “Amen” has something distinctly Melvins about it. I ‘m loving this, turning the volume up even if it’s late! Some influences can be found in bands like Clutch, Halfway To Gone and Queens of the Stoneage, while the singer brought to mind Fear, Half Man and Solarized. "Georgia trucker fun” builds on a simple but effective main riff while “Rock n’ roll living” keeps the crunch raging with more huge guitars and singing. Of all the statements touting Superchief, one in particular stands out: "Fun music to grow a beard to”. That's something that becomes very clear after listening to the 5-track album.

This is sure a very promising release and if the band continues to perform in the same way and level it will be able to offer us some remarkable works in the future.
