Band: White Wizzard White Wizzard is an American old school Metal band from L.A. and was formed in the summer of 2007, as a statement to the Screamo scene that dominated the heavy metal scene at the time. The first line-up of White Wizzard featured Jon Leon (bass), James Paul-Luna (vocals), James LaRue (guitar) and Tyler Meahl (drums). But After releasing their first EP, the band disagreed on what musical direction to take and split apart. Jon reformed the band with a second incarnation featuring all of the current band members except for Giovanni Durst, who took over the drummer’s duty. When listening to the album, you’ll notice that it’s a combination of Iron Maiden en megadeth style, but as the album progresses, it turns more to the Iron maiden side. Witch is not that bad, but when an album starts out more promising and then loses it’s power…. Still, the album has some nice tracks with typical heavy metal riffs, licks, solo’s and the typical vocals. Unfortunately, that’s it, it’s just a typical album. Not bad, but not groundbreaking, just average. 73/100 Jeroen. |
