Band: Your Demise Your Demise is a five-member Hardcore band from the U.K. and saw first light when they began in 2003. Since then the band got some attention overseas and have shared stages and tours with bands like Enter Shikari, Biohazard, A day to remember and Bury Your Dead. But their luck didn’t end there, on the 22nd September 2008, the band signed a deal with Visible Noise, the record label for which they recorded their debut album. Last year the band released their second album called Ignorance Never Dies witch they made via Earache Records. But since then, they’ve parted ways with their vocalist but have been on U.K. and European tours.
Now this is a not your average Hardcore album. You have the typical Hardcore songs on it alright, but after every 2 to 3 songs, we get a Drum 'n' Bass or Industrially colored beat. Although this is a cool concept and idea, and although I would love to see how they bring this live, I don’t know if there are a lot of people waiting for an album like this. This also has the downside that the spaces between songs are rude and not very pleasant for the ear. I love their originality and musicianship, but I feel that they need to grow a bit more and chose what they really want to be, a Hardcore band or dj’s, but not both. 86/100 Jeroen. |
