Review: CD
Cypecore are a German act with a Hungarian singer, bringing an intense and thunderous form of Industrial-injected Death Metal, with attention for melody.
For about fifty two minutes, the band catches the listener’s attention, combining mechanical beats, electronic and cosmic spheres, thrashy riffs, melodic solos, groovy rhythms, deadly grimness and blasting eruptions. Even though Cypecore do not renew, Innocent isn’t any other band’s copy, and several pieces stand out with rather unique and individual excerpts. There’s no over-acting – the band’s self-control on that very subject comes with a modest form of intelligence. But let’s not exaggerate: this stuff is all right, but it isn’t that world-shocking either.
Conclusion: recommended to fans of European-sounding melodic and rocking Industrial Thrash / Death Metal.
