CD REVIEW Farcry

Review: MCD

Carnivorous consists of three intense yet highly interesting Death / Thrash pieces, combining heavy melodies with technical aggression. It doesn’t sound renewing at all, yet what this Hungarian quartet brings is of a professional, convincing quality. Besides, the whole sounds rather universal, and like many bands from Hungary, especially the Swedish scene seems to have been of influence. Yet Farcry adds some own elements to the whole, and therefore this very short mini-album might please a rather large audience. And a track like Faceless, with its semi-acoustic part and nice guitar work, simply pleases my ear drums with a razor-sharp caressing and hugging…
I’m just not that convinced with Tamas Kis’s screaming grunts, unfortunately…
However, I do look out for the upcoming full length…
