Gallows End is a Heavy Metal band from Sweden and was formed in the summer of 2007 by guitarist/vocalist Thord Klarström and was originally intended as a one man project "between bands". Somewhere in September 2007 Thord recorded at three-track promo that immediately attracted the attention from several labels around the world. Due to the great interest for these songs Thord decided to put together a full band and in the summer of 2008 the line- up was finally complete. In October of 2008 Gallows End signed a record deal with Farvahar Records and released their long awaited debut album Nemesis Divine in June 2010.

The band brings heavy metal, with influences from bands like Iron Maiden, Sinergy and Gamma Ray. This is something you can’t go wrong with and it is a fairly solid album. The only downside for me is that there is a great “anti climax” on the album. The disc starts with one of the best intro’s I ever heard, dark/ moody/ … , something you would expect from a Hardcore band, but then switches to a old school Heavy Metal song.

But that’s just me being picky. To describe the album in general I would say that it’s fast and Melodic Heavy Metal.
