Rosaline (pronounced “Rah-za-lynn”) is a six-piece Hardcore band from Chicago, U.S.A. and was formed in 2005. The band features Madison Stolzer (guitar and vocals) Cody Lumpkin (lead vocals), Ricky Bakosh (guitar), Matthew Hahn (drums and percussion) Ryan Pulice (bass) and Nathan Steinheimer (keyboard).

The band is already good for 2 records (this being their second) but still has little info available on the internet, so you may find a very basic MySpace, but that’s it. And as like with their info, so is their album, basic. Just basic melodic Hardcore without something fancy to disguise here and there, but it works. It’s descent enough to stand amongst others in the genre and interesting enough to keep people listening to the album from start until the end. Downside to this one is that due to the “basic attitude” every song sounds a bit like a cliché. If you want to compare them to another band, I would say that they sound similar to Enter Shikari.

87/100
