Svölk is a Norwegian Bear Metal (that’s how they call it themselves) band. For the last 3 years they have established themselves on the Norwegian Rock scene. Although they have been around for a few years, it wasn’t until 2005 that the band released its first EP called Beast unleashed. Unfortunately, once again this is a band on with you can find very little information about.

Late 2009 Svölk released history’s first Bear Metal album witch is actually more Hard Rock than Metal. The album sounds harsh with lots of Rock, Grunge and Blues elements, and which isn’t very original these days, but very original in the way the guys bring it. If you want to compare the music to have an idea, you could best compare them with The Sword.

Not a classic album, or an explanation why it’s called Bear Metal, but strong in every possible way and it has a big “re-listen” factor witch is very rare these days.
