Yo, if you're looking for an introduction to French Stoner bands, then this compilation is what you're looking for to get you goin'!

With no less than 17 bands (in alphabetical order that's Alcohsonic, Café Flesh, Dismo, Dispenser The Dispenser, Granit 665, Junkyard Birds, Kubota, Loading Data, Los Disisdentes Del Sucio Motel, Mars Red Sky, Mudweiser, ÖfÖ Am, Rescue Rangers, Stony Broke, Superbeatnik, The Enterprise, and Voxson...and you'll please excuse me for not checking the antecedents of each and every one of the bands, right?) and most tracks previously unreleased, you get at least your money's worth. To make things a bit more interesting (or rather, to attract extra buying music fans?), the compilation additionally features one track each of Karma To Burn (“42” comes off the April 2010 Napalm Records album Appalachian Incantation), Treasure Cat (featuring KTB's guitarist Will Mecum, I'm not sure if their track “Snake Plissken (I Thought You Were Dead)” isn't previously released somehow – I'm also not certain whether the band still exists) and Year Long Disaster (featuring KTB's Rich Mullins – their track “Show Me Your Teeth” comes off the March 2010 Volcom Entertainment album Black Magic – All Mysteries Revealed).

In all, what you get is a total of 20 diverse tracks in the Stoner genre, for a total playing time of almost 69 minutes. A pure orgasmic soundtrack for the desert ways inclined! Compilation, hence no rating, but know that I'm nominating this album into my year-lists anyway!

Tony.
