N.O.W. is basically a project started by Alec Mendoça, who was born in Brazil. At a very young age he got into the music by listening to Boston and Beatles records.  Now although he wanted to record an album rather sooner then later, due to circumstances he had to wait for 14 years, before his dreams became true.

Alec wrote all 12 tracks himself, and joined forces with (also hailing from Brasil) keyboard player Jean Barros.  Now all they needed was a good singer, and this they found in none other than Philip Bardowell (ex Kiss, ex Beach Boys, ex Unruly Child).  And as far as I'm concerned a very good choice it was, he's got just the right voice for this kind of music.  Now don't expect a real hard rock album, no, it's more in the vein of Kansas or Rick Springfield, to name but two bands.  Good compositions, well played, nice choruses, a good guitar solo from time to time.  Not an earth shattering album, but one that is very pleasing to listen to.

I think fans of the softer genre might give this a try.  I myself will certainly spin this album again from time to time.
