Band : Adrenaline 101 This is a strange CD. I have problems categorizing it under a certain music style, since there's so much going on at the same time. I mean, you've got influences of nu-metal, but also some sleaze rock, some classical hard rock bands like AC/DC or Krokus, but also some Def Leppard riffs. Once in a while you even get a crossover between rap and metal. The combination of all of these styles gives a very fresh and new sound. Hailing form Switzerland - I wonder how it comes that so many great rock bands come out of this small country, after all Belgium is also a small country, but very few of our groups seem to be known outside of our country, except with a few die hards, or at least that's my impression - this is the first full album Adrenaline 101 have recorded. Before they recorded an EP in 2007, and of course did countless live gigs in Switzerland, but also went to play as a support act for Glenn Hughes in Spain. Definitely a group with a very own sound. Highly recommended. 75/100 Erik Morren. |
