Sick of It All is an American Hardcore Punk band, from New York U.S.A. and first saw light in 1986 during the era when hardcore became less popular and many pioneering Hardcore bands like Black Flag and Minor Thread stopped. The band was founded by brothers Lou Koller (vocals) and Pete Koller (guitar), Armand Majidi (drums) and Rich Cipriano (bass). In 1988, Sick of It All signed to Relativity Records and recorded/released their first full-length album called “Blood, sweat and no tears” which was released in the following year.

Whenever I hear or read the word Punk, I get a little scared. I always imagine songs consisting of maximum 2 minutes loaded with only 3 power chords, lots of “oi oi oi’s” and lyrics about how something sucks and how to make the world a better place if you hate something specific. Luckily for me, this is Hardcore Punk. And Sick of it all (a band whose name is not a stranger to me but whose music is) is pretty good at it. It’s loud, fast, hard and better than original punk and the guys keep it variated witch is always an interesting thing to keep the music pleasant and refreshing.

Downside is that not one of the songs last 3 minutes, on the other hand, you get 14 songs.

76/100
