Band: Accept Accept is a Heavy metal band from Germany from the town of Solingen. Originally they assembled in the early 1970s by vocalist Udo Dirkschneider. They played an important role in the development and growth of Speed metal. For many years after its founding, Accept went through constant changes to its line-up and was essentially kept on an amateur level, making sporadic appearances in festival concerts. Their professional career began in 1976, when they were invited to play at one of the first festivals from Germany called Rock am Rhein. Following the festival, the band received a record deal. But their first album didn’t make their name. It was only when they released their album Balls to the wall and their single with the same title that they got noticed in the mainstream. And since than the ball got rolling, bringing various other albums, hiatuses and line up changes. And just now the band released this record called Blood Of The Nations. The album itself is typical accept style so you won’t be disappointed, but the door swings both ways and so brings nothing new and exciting. Just solid Accept songs witch make up a pretty good record. But the overall lacks a certain power to make the songs stand out as hit material. Maybe the fact that our beloved Udo isn’t in the band anymore has something to do with it. 73/100 Jeroen. |
