Band : Human Temple Six years after their 2004 debut album, and having gone through some line-up changes, Human Temple are back with their second effort. And what a cracking album it is. There's a good balance between melody and power. Now vocally Janne Hurme isn't the most powerful of singers, but that's not needed for this kind of songs. He just fits the job perfectly. The mix between guitars and organ/ synth is just perfect. The songs are catchy, and I must admit that I'm not displeased by the English Janne sings. One of the more outstanding songs on this album is "Promised Land", although it was very hard to pick a real favourite, as they all have something. At times Human Temple even reminds me a bit of Biloxi, and I would even dare to say that Janne’s voice at times matches that of Clyde Holly. /100 Erik Morren. |
