You probably remember I'm not a real fan of live albums. This album however might become an exception.

Of course JSS is blessed with a superb voice, able to tackle all different styles of music, and most definitely not limited to pure rock. But besides that, the musicians accompanying him on this show,
show that they too are craftsmen. And then to know that, if the info I got is correct, they had only been playing together for some 3 weeks or so.

This double album clocks in at about 2,5 hours, so you get good value for your money. The songs span practically his whole career, but sadly nothing from the start of his career with Yngwie Malmsteen, and neither form the Eyes or Soul Sirkus era. One of the best songs is, at last to me, the last song, a twelve minutes long medley of songs going from Queen, to Joan Jett over to Carl Douglas (“Kung Fu Fighting” - you remember ?) to Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three (“The Roof Is On Fire” - also returning later in a song by The Bloodhound Gang, which might sound more familiar) to The Village People and even some Bee Gees are thrown in as well.

Fans of JSS should not hesitate, and go out and buy this immediately. Those of you who are not so familiar with his work, this is a really good chance to get a taste of his ability.
