Nuclear Blast is an independent major record label with subsidiaries in Germany (where it was founded by Markus Staiger), the U.S., and Brazil. To name some of the bands under the label are Meshuggah, Nile, Death,….

As a record company, you always are looking for new ways to promote your bands and Nuclear Blast found a good way. Every so often, they release a CD (or double disc) with upcoming singles of their signed bands. This really makes up a great album with lots of variation everybody could like.

This time, the label released (or is going to ) a CD with 24 awesome singles by just as many bands. To name a few: Eluveitie, Overkill, Immortal, Nile, Epica, Sonata Arctica and many more so you’ll definitely will find something you like on this double disc album and you’ll probably learn some other great bands you probably never listened to before.

But again I have my doubts about this way of promotion. Although you get the singles of your favorite band and many more, will you spend your cash on this or wait until the album gets out? And let’s be honest, Nuclear Blast releases these kind of albums very often, maybe to often.
