CD REVIEW Kruger

Band: Kruger

Label: Listenable Records
Distribution: Rough Trade Benelux
Release date: 22/02/2010
Review: CD

Swiss Postcore-formation Kruger return with their fourth full length, which lasts for almost forty seven minutes. And for those who are trusted with Kruger’s eccentric and modern sonic attacks: prepare for another horrific wall of psychotic noise!
Nothing is new, but again this effort is stronger and more mature than the former releases. Kruger is such a band that always seems to grow, to exceed its former recordings. The intense tracks are groovy and sludgy at the same time, including post-modernistic and progressive elements, as well as inventing breaks, lots of tempo-changes, and a morbid, dangerous atmosphere. Besides, For Death, Glory, And The End Of The World comes with a massive, colossal sound / production (again).
Consider it some mixture of elements by band as, let’s say, Neurosis, Kylesa, Isis, (late) Entombed, Minsk or Cult Of Luna amongst others, mixed with elements of Doom and Psycho-Grind, and enjoy the coming of death, glory and the end of our world!
