The most famous band of Germany must be Rammstein. Their shockrock has already enchanted thousands of people. Not only in Germany, but all around the world, even though most of the lyrics are written in German.
Haifisch is the latest single of Rammstein. The song can be found on their breakthrough record Liebe Ist Für All Da. Allthough, Rammstein tries to shock everyone around them. Whereas they definitely did with their previous single, Pussy, this song is much more modest and decent. It still sounds like the typical Rammstein sound, but the music is brought back to its basics. The chorus is very orchestral, but the verses are more restrained.
Bertolt Brecht was an important inspiration. Bertolt Brecht must have been one of the most famous German playwrights and Rammstein have deduced his well-known Moritat von Mackie Messer to write the chorus.
Even people who aren’t really fans of Rammstein, can surely do something with this song.
