Two years ago, the rumour was being spread that Volbeat would be the next headline act on many festivals across Europe. Not only metal festivals, but even more alternative and commercial festivals.
But, Volbeat disappeared from the stages and entered the studio to record a brand new album, called Beyond Hell/Above Heaven.
To give the audience a taste of what was about to shred your ears, their label released a first single called Fallen.
Fallen continues where Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood stopped: spreading a rock ‘n roll message. Although, Fallen rather sounds like a rock song, without the ‘n roll’. Still, Poulsen’s voice sounds as powerful as before and the subject of the song is ‘women’, what else would you expect?
So, Fallen turned out to be a rock song about a girl, again. But hey, who cares, it’s Volbeat ! Be ready for more.
