A lot of great albums have already been released this year, but this one deserves a special attention.
Indeed, more then twenty years have gone by, since Giant released their debut album in 1989.  And to say this is only their fourth album since...  Indeed, after releasing their debut in 1989 "Last Of The Runaways" and in 1991 the follow up "Time To Burn" it all became very quiet in the Giant camp.
Of course much had to do with the change in musical climate in the early nineties - the rising of the grunge scene of course, and so Giant disbanded and the members became involved in other projects.
In 2001 Frontiers Records prompted Giant to release another album, "III".  However, Dann Huff could not spend enough time to make the reunion carry on.  Indeed, his flourishing career as producer did not leave him time to keep on playing with Giant, and so the search for new musicians started.

Finally Terry Brock (Strangeways, Seventh Key) was chosen to be the new singer, and none other than John Roth (Winger) became the new guitarist.
So it was with this line-up Terry Brock, John Roth and just two of the original band members Mike Brignardello (bass) and David L. Huff (drums) that they started to write new songs for this album.  They were aided in this by Dann Huff, who wrote a few songs and also played lead guitars on a few songs.
Now what can you expect from this album ?  Think fantastic, great AOR songs in the best eighties tradition.  I would even dare to compare them to Journey in their best (Steve Perry) days.  This is stuff that brings my youth back.  And Terry has just the right voice for it.  Great.
