When seeking out more information about this band I got a bit scared. Indeed, when I saw they got the label of a Power Metal band, and on top of that that they came out of Germany of all places, I did not expect too much.
I must admit though that I was pleasantly surprised upon entering this album in my CD player.  They did not re-invent power metal, far from it, but this is nevertheless a good effort.  It's got power, it's got speed, it's got everything you need to bang your head... To top it of it's got a fantastic double bass rythm section and some soaring guitar solo's.

The vocals are handled by Herbie Langhans (Seventh Avenue) while drums were played by Frederik Ehmke (Blind Guardian), with guest appearances on the album by Thomas Rettke (ex Heaven's Gate), Joost van den Broeck (Ayreon,  Star One) and  Morten Sandager (Pretty Maids).  Mixing and mastering of the album was done by Markus Teske (Symphony X, Vanden Plas, Neal Morse).

Herbie's voice fits this kind of music perfectly, and when in the chorus he is joined by the other band members it all becomes very masculine, just what you'd expect from a German band playing this kind of music.
Although not completely my cup of tea, I must admit I did enjoy listening to this album.  Hey, after all after being a hard rock/metal/rock fan for the last thirty years you've got to learn to enlarge your horizon.  That does not mean that in a near or far future you might find me reviewing some death metal or so.  There are still no boundaries that even I do not dare to cross.

75/100
