Fenndango’s latest 4-track EP is worth checking out, but not really a life and death purchase. Not now, but who knows what the future hold? The record is an assorted musical melding pot with ample amounts of hard-, southern- and 90’s stoner rock and chugging metal all rolled into one.

“Sleep”  and “Broken machine” are nice chuggers with mercilessly catchy main riffs, while “Tres mates” guitar solo displays Ief and Jonas’ ability to actually make a metal solo swing. Fenndango relies upon a good sense of riffology placed with simple, but fitting lead guitar lines for their main songwriting approach. Reminiscent of a more rock-oriented Channel Zero-meets-Lowrider-meets-C.O.C., the five-piece of Belgium deliver their blood boiling rock soaked in whiskey to the fullest extent...  While not exactly the most original in the genre, it isn't terribly bad.

Nothing presented here is bad by any means, it just lacks the singular identity to stand on his own.
