Band: Marc Rizzo Marc Rizzo, an American guitar player who could easily be one of the world’s best guitar players, but also one of the most underrated one. Some of you might know him from “Ill Niño”. But the biggest part of his army of fans comes from his guitar work with Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy. Busy as he is, he still finds the time to do other projects. He already has 2 instructional dvd’s released, 2 solo albums and now a third one called “Legionnaire”. Witch contains 11 songs of brain melting shred metal. You can compare it to Satriani or Yngwie Malmsteen but it still has a distinct sound en vibe. One time it has a flamenco feeling to it and another time it’s totally jazz (but all in a metal jacket). It’s impressive, it’s a long and very inspiring. It feels like a journey with heights and depths, calmer and ruff parts, …. all well performed. The one thing that could be a downside for people is that this kind of albums lack vocals. 95/100 Jeroen. |
