Parkway Drive is a metalcore band from Byron Bay, New South Wales in Australia and was founded in 2003. But it wasn’t until 2010 that the ball started rolling and since then, the band released three full-length albums, a DVD, an EP and two split albums. Although I’ve already heard their name here or there, their music is still a stranger to me so didn’t really know what to expect.

The downside to this CD is that it's only a single so it didn’t gave me a lot to think about, compare,…. But this appears to be a track from their latest album Deep Blue.

What I can tell you is that for metalcore the overall has a “happy” feeling to it. Nevertheless the song holds brutal harsh vocals, killer riffs witch are at times traded in for some melodic licks witch gives for a nice balance between hard and melodic. But in compare to other singles I looked up, it’s less brutal and has less blast beats. Unfortunately I can’t compare to the rest to the album so this is 50/50 on this track.

68/100
