This album was originally intended to be a Davide Barbieri solo album but one way or another it was decided that this material was too good not to be released under the moniker of a real band.  And thus Wheels Of Fire was born.  Besides Davide, who wrote and arranged all the songs, help was enlisted under the name of Stefano Zeni on guitars, Roberto Galli - bass and Andrea Zingrillo -drums, with a guest performance (among others) by none other then Michele Luppi (ex Vision Divine now member of Killing Touch), who as it happens used to be the vocal coach for Davide.

Musically this cd takes us back to the eighties, to the rock music scene of Los Angeles and it's famous clubs and venues (The Roxy, Whisky A Go-Go, to name but a few).  Do not think however that you're going to get a copy of Mötley Crüe or Ratt, cause this album is far more polished.  It's heavy at times, but less grittier then those eighties bands.

To me this is a CD I'd play in the car while driving to the sea-side on a sunny day.  The only minor point being (maybe) that at times the Italian accent of Davide comes through, but it's not a major issue.
