What is this I thought, when I got a copy of this CD.  An artist I’ve never heard of before on an unknown label.  So I started gathering info on the internet.  It turned out that this is actually already the fifth album from this artist, hailing from Ontario, Canada.

It’s rather difficult to categorize the music this band plays.  It’s rock, but with influences from far too many genres to describe them all.  As a matter of fact I personally find this CD does not really belong on concrete web, as it’s far off from metal, hard rock or even AOR. What else can be said about this CD ?  Well, to start with, the lyrics are quite complex.  By this I mean that Gottfried tries to tell us a story,  and by doing so he may be using far too many words.  Besides that you have to grow accustomed to his voice, which I have difficulties to compare with other singers.

For an independent, alternative rock release it’s not a bad effort, but I doubt it will catch the attention,  except maybe with a select few.
