Is it catchy music ?  Hell yeah.  Is it well performed ?  Again, hell yeah.  Will it stand the test of time ?  I doubt it.

On this, already their sixth studio album, Nickelback does not seek out new horizons.  They continue in more or less the same style, rock with some (luckily few) post-grunge influences.  Chad Kroeger, as before, gives us a great vocal performance, backed up by a well oiled band. Production of the album was done by none other than Mutt Lange, well known for his work with AC/DC or Def Leppard. Why these kinds of albums do not get more airplay on the mainstream radio stations I do not understand. This kind of metal is perfect for getting to know the genre, without immediately being offset by it. It’s metal, but with a sometimes mellow touch. Quite friendly to the ears, yet still metal enough to still please the real metalheads, when they want to enjoy a few relaxed moments.  Yet airplay they do not get, or almost not.

A very agreeable almost easy-listening album.
