Stan Bush, over the last decades has been regularly churning out new albums, which showed a  musician who keeps delivering good quality, yet not extraordinary  material.  This album, Dream The Dream, is no exception to that adagio. Which means that if you’re an AOR lover, you should immediately go out and buy this album without hesitation, because good material it is.  As Always, Stan has worked together with some renowned song writers, I’ll name but two of them : Bobby Barth, Curt Cuomo.

It’s very hard to say which song really stands out amongst the others,  but the opening track “Never Hold Back” and the title track “Dream The Dream” surely are two major contestants. As fellow musicians Stan could rely on the helping hands from Matt Laugh (Eddie Money, Alice Cooper) on drums, and Matt Bissonette (Rick Springfield, David Lee Roth) on bass guitar, and Holger Fath on guitar – besides other tasks – who  accidentally also helped writing a few songs.

So once more a very good release by this artist.  I heard rumours that Stan would be planning to tour over Europe, which is great news. I do hope this rumour becomes reality, and that soon we might be able to see him play.

90/100
