Final Depravity is a young Thrash Metal band hailing forth from the Ruhr area of Germany (what also is the home base of legends like Sodom / Kreator) and was founded in December 2007. The band released a highly praised 3-track demo in 2008 witch kind of launched them into the big league. Due to this “demo” they got the opportunity to share the stages with renowned acts like Sodom, Legion Of The Damned, Artillery, Mystic Prophecy and lots more.
But the band only just released their debut album only 2 months ago. Being influenced by their local hero’s (and the fact that one of the tracks on the albums features Tom Angelripper from Sodom who is also managing the band) the only elements that sound familiar is a little piece of the sound. This in not pure trash metal but with pieces of death and more modern day elements. It has more of an American metal band vibe going on than European and in that way sounds very familiar to bands like slayer. So definitely expect some brutal down tuned guitars, tones and riffage on the album
Only downside of the band is that there isn’t a lot of information available due to the fact that they aren’t that well know and they haven’t putted a lot of work in their website and myspace. What really is a pity because a lot of extreme metal fans will love this album.
