Band: The Red Shore The Red Shore must be the most tragic metal formation from Australia. Most of the early deathcore fans will remember this band from the tragic event which took place in late 2007. It was then that the band lost their original vocalist Damien Morris and crew member Andy Milner in a tour bus accident. This didn’t keep the band from getting back together and keep doing what they were already doing for some time: making metal! The Avarice Of Man is the new baby of The Red Shore. I can say that they lost their status of being a deathcore band officially. This isn’t deathcore, this is technical metal with a slight hardcore undertone. Blastbeats are very important in these thirteen songs. This can already be heard in the first two songs, "The Seed Of Annihilation" and "Human All Too Human". Whereas these songs are focused on the drums, this song is rather focused on the guitars. "Armies Of Damnation" is the most complex song on the album. The Red Shore have created a heavy and very dark album, but it’s hard to keep focused for the entire album. But fans of technical death metal will be very pleased with this I think. 74/100 Nick Tronckoe. |
