Audrey Horne a Melodic Hard Rock band from Norway, was formed late in 2002 by Toschie, Ice Dale, Thomas, Kjetil, Herbrand and Tom Cato. All having their own background in bands like Enslaved, Sahg, Gorgoroth and a few others.

Now this is a band of whom I never heard before and when hearing or reading the part that some of these guys come from bands like Gorgoroth or Enslaved, I was expecting blast beats, pig squeal singing and men with make up. Everything youd expect from black metal kind of bands. But these guys prove me wrong with their melodic rock music. This album, their third, starts out with a song is a typical Mastodon way of playing but doesn’t have the finesse of it. Instead it has more of a brutal and not completed feel to it. After a few songs the Mastodon feeling makes room for you more typical everyday indie rock band groove, not bad but nothing special.

The album also has a short feeling to it witch was a big downside for me, this is more of a background cd for a party, something cool to put on when having some friends over but the cd has gone through the whole song repertoire before you know it or could give a lot of attention to it.

73/100
