Hailing from Ireland, Glyder made its debut in 2004 at the annual Phil Lynott tribute gig "Vibe for Philo" in Dublin.  The name Phil Lynott might not ring a bell for the youngsters among you, well he was the leader of Thin Lizzy but died much too soon.  After being spotted they started touring Europe with older bands like Wishbone Ash, Thunder, Dio  and even the contemporary version of Thin Lizzy.

As could be expected, them being an Irish band, and playing on the Phyl Lynott tribute, they were at the start, greatly influenced by Thin Lizzy, but on this, their already third album, the influences are still noticeable, but they have developed an own style.

We they also have in common with Thin Lizzy is that Tony Cullen is the bass player, as well as the vocalist.  Sadly his vocal performance cannot be compared to Phil Lynott. Not that he's bad, but I find the chant is lacking some variation.
What to say about the songs themselves.  Well to start with they're all fairly short, ranging from just under 3 minutes to just under five minutes.  It's seventies style, but with a modern accent.
I's say it's a decent rock album, but it lacks some highlights, which under current circumstances is just not good enough with the flow of releases we're experiencing, because this album might go by without noticing.
