Band: Miles to Perdition In the summer of 2007 five young metal fans from Luxembourg decided to start a band. Miles to Perdition was born and from then they practiced vigorously with a clear goal: to share and mix all their influences from their favorite bands and diverse musical tastes into one heavy but still accessible sound. After mixing all their influences the band created its own sound. After some time, the band finished a 4-song demo, which was made available exclusively on their MySpace page and was distributed on their live shows. But in august 2009 a set of changes took place for the band. Some line up changes came along and the band was now finally complete with its new members, it was then that they were able to accomplish an original, brutal, heavy and catchy sound for themselves and do the touring they wanted to. 2010 was their best year so far with the release of their first album called Vengeance. And the band delivers what they promised. A heavy, fast, melodic combination of death metal and metal core, but still very accessible. The songwriting is dynamic and varied; taking fully advantage of their own created sound and style. Only downside for me is that there are only 7 tracks on the album. Considering these are all awesome songs and that this is their first album it isn’t that bad, but still the album seems a bit to short. 92/100 Jeroen. |
