Alexis is the project of vocalist Freddy Alexis (from the band Whitchblade) and was formed in 2008.

The style of this album can best be described as a melodic heavy power metal with a big wink to nostalgic bands like Judas Priest. The album itself unfortunately doesn’t quite live up to the rest of the album. Don’t get me wrong, I am not dissing the album. Alexis’s voice is strong and powerful and all the vocals performance are top notch. But in the end it are 11 tracks that simply don't reach a certain wanted level. It all works but it misses that thing to make the whole thing epic. It lacks the feeling that makes you want to rush home to put the album in your stereo and turn it up to eleven. Although it has lots of positive elements like variation (from classic power metal to acoustic ballads and instrumentals, the album has much advantages to other bands out there.

But due to the lack of certain things it feels like they are just one of those bands.

71/100
