Band: Forgotten Suns Forgotten Suns is a progressive rock band that hails from Portugal (Lisboa) and first saw light when guitar player Ricardo Falcão and keyboard wizard Miguel Valadares met and started to build the foundation of what was going to be the band. That band wanted to release a short EP just before the year ended and that’s what they did. Revelations is an EP that has turned out to become the home for some lighter tracks taken from previous writing sessions back in the period between late 2006 and early 2007, and is a collection of songs that were included on some live sets but never made their way towards a mixing desk. Unfortunately the EP sounds like a cheesy cheap version of Dream Theater, and less musically interesting than the original. Although the overall isn’t that bad, but lacks balls and interesting pieces to keep you wanting more. Due to this, the five songs on this disc weren’t going fast enough for me. 67/100 Jeroen. |
