Slimy Cunt & The Fistfucks definitely gets the award for the most pornographic band name around. The band consists of four guys from Boston, a city where great hardcore acts such as Have Heart and Death Before Dishonor find their origin. Slimy Cunt & The Fistfucks don’t give a fistfuck about hardcore though, but they are an old school punkrock band straight from the streets of Boston.

Their new EP Bastards sounds very rough, dirty and is recorded with a genuine rawness. Although all of this sounds very promising, Slimy Cunt & The Fistfucks, which exists of Opie, Sgt. Major Asshole, Lord Cuntington and Frester Wallnuts (let’s hope these are not their original names) doesn’t succeed in keeping up the expectations. It sounds a bit too simple and too many bands have already done this before them to keep it interesting.

If you are looking for some background music for your local pub, don’t hesitate to buy this four-track record, but I shouldn’t buy it for any other reason.
