Tankard, the German trash band and self declared “Kings of Beer” have been around for almost 30 years and the certainly hold on to the saying “never change a winning formula”.

For the last three decades they remain true to writing fast Thrash songs about having fun and consuming pools of alcohol. Their 14th full length album (very originally baptized Vol(l)ume 14) is in no way different then its 13 precedents. Seriously, it’s quite a task to write a review about this Germans that hasn’t been written before. ‘Vol(l)ume 14’ sure is catchy and the easy-to-remember and funny-as-hell lyrics about, for example, speed dating for metals ("Beck’s in the city") or fat people ("Fat Snatchers") prove that the four from Frankfurt are not to miserable to make themselves part of the laughing stock.

When you buy a Tankard-album, you know what to expect, but hey, you don’t ask a leopard to change his spots neither, now do you?
