Formed in 1983, Testament is an American thrash metal band from Oakland, California better know ass the bay area were the worlds best trash metal comes from. The current line up consist of vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson, bassist Greg Christian, and drummer Paul Bostaph.

Their next stap to world metal domination is a reissue of the Live At The Filmore album, but a little updated. It received the normal the reissue treatment like a new layout, extended liner notes, and has been digitally re-mastered. The only thing that hasn’t changed it the way Testament sounds. Brutal as hell, this is mostly due to Chuck’s decision to use death metal vocals into his songs, brilliant guitar work, bad ass bass, caveman like drums and the bands awesome song writing skills.

The album wins kudos due to its length due to 17 classic Testament songs. The last 3 of them being acoustic songs (not live) that does give the album something extra.
The whole picture works with Testament and that can be founded on this record. The only thing that disappoints me about this is the fact that it’s a reissue and no new material. Also this isn’t the first time the re-released a live album. So most people that have the first record won’t buy it again.

97/100
