TNT is one of those bands that’s had i’s up and downs over the years. Founded in 1982, they released their debut album in 1983.  When the line-up of the band had more or less fallen into place, with Ronnie Le Tekro on guitars, Tony Harnell on vocals, Diesel Dahl on drums, and finally Morty Black on bass, they released the classic album Kings Of The New Thunder in 1984.  The following years they released some more great albums, and grew a huge fan base.  Sadly in the early nineties they broke up but did return, although with another sound, before disappearing again.  Yet at the turn of the millennium they once more came back.

Sadly, after releasing My Religion in 2004, an album that was highly praised, the band started to fall apart.  As a result Tony Harnell was replaced by Tony Mills.  With two of the other original members, Ronnie Le Tekro and Diesel Dahl they still needed a bass player.  Many came and went again, until finally Victor Borge (ex-Jack In The Box,  Autopulver) joined the band in 2007. Besides touring they started working on new music as well.  This resulted in Atlantis, an album that I quite liked, but not everyone did.

Compared to the material on Atlantis the songs on this album have a harder edge to them. Just listen to  a song like "Barracuda".  As a matter of fact most songs are up-tempo rockers.with the exception of the very short instrumental track "A Signature On A Demon’s Self-Portrait", and "God Natt, Marie" which is a track that must be avoided at all costs – except in the Christmas period…
