Destruction is a German trash metal band and is considered to be one of the "three kings" of the Teutonic trash metal scene (the others being Kreator and Sodom). But originally was formed as "Knight of Demon" in 1982. The rich history of this bad ass metal band contains a ton of albums, live albums, EP’s, DVD’s, tracks on compilation records, and many more on witch everyone can be jealous of.
In 2011, the band ( that finds a somewhat steady lineup in Schmier, Mike and Vaaver) returned to Nuclear Blast Records with the release of "Day of Reckoning", which was released worldwide in February.
There is a reason why these guys are called “Trash metal Gods”, when hearing this album, you’ll quickly understand why, and will only praise their status. Just like wine, they just seem to get better with age. From the opening track, ‘The Price’, on it immediately becomes clear that the band has chosen for a faster and even trash metal approach than their previous records. Space has been filled up with barbaric drums that never seem to miss the beat, harsh piercing vocals, riffs and insane solos make up a package to good to be true for the metal fan, especially if you are a trash metal fan.
97/100
