Band: Agatha Italy’s Agatha are a full-female band (or whatever you call it), I mean a ladies-only formation, once a trio, now a duo: Pamela and Claudia. What they create is a slow, sleazy and pounding mixture of Punk and Sludge Metal with a grooving and taking-no-prisoners heaviness. Distorted bass, drums and extreme vocals (mainly grunts, growls and screams), dissonant rhythms, elements from Hardcore, Noise, Thrash and Drone, and a performance lacking of any overdone eccentrism, flirting with straight-forward primitivism and a basically no-nonsense approach… Nothing more than this yet oh so pure and honest. 70/100 Ivan Tibos. |
