Band : Coldspell If you’re a fan of eighties hard rock à la Y & T, Ratt, Dokken, Europeb, Whitesnake to name but a few bands, you should try out this new album by Swedish rockers Coldspell. Besides the fact that guitarist and main composer Michael Larsson knows how to write a catchy song, you have to give your thumbs up for the vocal performance by Niklas Swedentorp, who, like most English singing Swedes shows no sign of an accent. You can put his voice somewhere between John Sykes, Joey Tempest and a young(er) David Coverdale. Besides the good songs, the excellent musicianship, production is also very good, mixing was done by none other than Tommy Hansen (Helloween, TNT, Jorn, Pretty Maids, …) 90/100 Erik Morren. |
