CD REVIEW Insult / Rampant Decay

Band: Insult / Rampant Decay
Album title: split
Label: Patac Records
Distributor: Patac Records
Release date: 20/10/2010
Release: 7"

From the cover, you can already deduce that these musicians aren't the friendliest guys around. Straightforward hardcore, grindcore or whatever you want to call it is what these two bands release on the herd on their latest split 7".
The first part of the album is for Insult. Insult proves that you don't really have to be a 'master of the art' to impress an audience. The band kicks off very promising with songs as Get Killed and Sheople, but their last track is quite horrible to say the least.
Rampant Decay only contributed three new tracks to this album, but the quality, not only the production, is far better than Insult's. Pigshit is the best song on this 7". Speed, some melody, decent mastering of the instruments, some Cro-Magsanarian hardcore vibes ... I like this.
A cool album for the real underground fan, but not something to be found in your nearest Free Record Shop I'm afraid. You'll have to go to the gutter of the underground to catch this one. Where for fuck's sake is that gutter?!

69/100
