Arven is a German band, consisting of five ladies and one man.  Together these six musicians produce what can be best described as gothic metal, with some folk and symphonic influences. Since the boom of gothic metal bands, quite a few clones and copies have risen.  What discerns Arven from other bands in the genre are the background choirs though. On the other hand you’ve got to like the vocals.  They’re very overall like.
Although this band surely has its qualities, this doesn’t shine through with this release.  The structure of the songs is far too similar, and there’s not enough diversity in the vocals.
