I didn’t quite know under what category of music I should catalogue this album, as it has many different sides.  At times it sounds as AOR,  whilst at other moments it almost sounds bluesy, and even poppy at times.

What’s immediately clear is that they’ve found just the right vocalist for their kind of music in the person of Terry Ilous (XYZ, Great White), who delivers a very good performance on this album.
This being a solo-album by Glen Briger, he of course wrote the songs, and while his name didn’t ring a bell, the biography learned me he’s contributed to the band Head East.

While listening to this album two bands sprang to my mind that this music could be compared to, one of them is Mr. Big, and the other is Great White.
Besides Mr. Ilous on vocals, a lot of other well-known and less known musicians lended an aiding hand in the making of this album, among them fellow Head East member Greg Manahan on bass, and Sam McCaslin (Michael Schenker, Carmine Appice) on keyboards.

It’s not a bad album, but it’s not an album that gave me a wow feeling either.
