Band: Slipknot For all of you who have lived under a rock for the last decades, Slipknot is a 9 headed (wearing uniforms and Halloween masks) master (disaster)piece coming all the way from Des Moines Iowa to bring a combination of alternative-, rap- and nu- metal and to give you a show to never forget. Unfortunately Paul Grey (the beloved bassist of the band passed away recently) To be honest, Slipknot was one of my favorite bands when I grew up. I remember I wanted to be and play like Mick Thompson (on guitar) so much that I always rolled up my sleeves just like him, I even bought a guitar like he used to play back in the early days. So I was really excited to hear about them working on a remake of one of their darkest albums. Disc One will feature the original album, along with a remixed version of “My Plague.” Disc Two will be an audio version of Slipknot’s Disasterpieces DVD, which is a recording of the band’s 2002 show at the London Arena. And if that wasn’t enough there is even more. There’s also a DVD witch includes “Goat”, a new film directed by “Clown”, which features unaired interviews with the band and footage capturing the full insanity around Iowa-era Slipknot, as well as four music videos. 92/100 Jeroen. |
