Stala & So originates from Finland, and was formed in 1997.  The band features ex members from Lordi (Mr. Stala himself, on vocals, whereas in Lordi he played drums) and also from Hanoi Rocks.
But although they were formed in 97, this is their first full album they release.

The music they bring is basically 70ies and 80ies glam rock/hard rock, but with some modern touches.
It’s clear these guys have been around some time, and have long been laboring on this album, because each and every songs is well thought of, and equally well performed.

Although not being a super vocalist, Mr.Stala handles the job quite well, while his fellow band members arrange the backing vocals.  And do not underestimate the guitar duo, Pete Vaughn on rhythm guitar, and Sami J on lead guitar.  This duo can just as well play a heavy riff, as a more subdued acoustic part.
Most tracks on the album are high energy songs, but there are also two ballads on the album, from which ‘Bye Bye’ is the best one.  I personally find ‘(Won’t Let You) Down Again one of the best tracks on the album.

A very welcome surprise from up north, which proves they have other things to offer besides Santa Claus and reindeers.
