Review: CD

This German quartet did release two EP’s before (Strike Your Idols Down and At Sanity’s Dawn) and now they debut with Paradise, which lasts for forty four minutes. It is the kind of modern sounding yet, at the same time, old style-inspired Death Metal many German bands are known for, combining different tempos (from mid-tempo to neo-blasting), and searching for the most perfect balance between aggression and melody, between catchiness and extremity, between technical excellence and primal brutality. Sometimes grooving, then moshing or thrashing. All of it written with precision and eye for detail.
Taking its inspiration from different angles, transformed into a strong and satisfying creation. Above average, yet no top-material either.
Beyond the narrow-minded German-sounding scene, timeless and stepping out of short-witted tradition.
