Following last year’s Macabrum Bestia Ex Abyssus, Devil’s Ferox.. Over The Death! just overpowers that great former mini-album in (almost) all aspects. In comparison to the earliest recordings (the macabre Crowned In Blood EP and the full length Bestial Kruzifix666ion), Macabrum … was much too predictable and too ‘common’. Why? Well, actually, Bleeding Fist lack of originality in a painful way, and therefore you need to make sure the quality must be above the average. That 2010-EP was acceptable, yet certainly nothing more.
This mini-album opens with Monuments Desecration, starting slow yet soon evolving into a fierce piece of straight-forward Second Wave (read: early nineties) Satanic Black Metal, somewhat reminding me, in both sound and performance (the balance melody – aggression), to the Swedish scene, completed with elements from USBM, First Wave Black / Thrash (read: eighties) and East-European Underground Black Fury. This goes for the next three tracks as well, which brings me, again, to this conclusion: unoriginal and rather predictable. Yet the quality is all right. Again. Besides, these Slovenians end the EP with a very nice cover track, Black And Violent by Death SS in a really satisfying version.
Yet as said: only for those who obsessively are into this kind of Devil-worshipping Black Sonic Beauty.

75/100
